Designed / launched by whom/when Charles is a 20^th Century contemporary design icon designed in 1997 by Italian Architect Antonio Citterio. A modernist inspired design but with a formal elegance, Charles remains one of the most popular B&B Italia seating systems.

Design Inspiration Antonio pays homage to his favourite Modernist Designer, Charles Eames.

Fabrication A steel frame brilliantly researched and engineered by the technical team at B&BItalia allows the visually slim reverse L polished steel feet to do their job with ease. Bayfit® cold moulded mixed density internal foam surrlounds a steel frame. Seat has slim self plumping cushions. Back and side support is proved by cushions of a poly down mix fill. The leather is high grade, has a visible grain and a soft buttery feel. Six down filled scatter cushions with removable inners with separated channels for even fill distribution.

Hidden Features Simply push apart to enjoy as a twin chaise scenario.

Our Condition Report 3/5 Frequent use but extremely well maintained with no structural faults. Some gentle creasing to the leather but no tears, scratches, fade, or areas of wear. Superb vintage condition.
