The Motek chair is by Industrial Designer Luca Nichetto and produced by Cassina. It has a felted shell of origami like angles with turned European oak legs. 12 available.

Designed in 2013, the Motek 383 chair from Cassina not only has the looks but is also 100% recyclable. Designer Luca Nichetto has a studio in the Murano glassmaking area of Venice and another in Stockholm. Motek is made by Cassina, producers of the iconic Cab chair……. say no more.

Designers Inspiration The art of Japanese origami allows paper to bear weight. A molding technology developed for automobile manufacturing provided the engineering solution for this chair.

Fabrication An industrial felt is molded under steel pressure to produce the seat shell. Turned European ashwood legs screw into a black plastic seat base.

Hidden Features Legs can be easily unscrewed and shells stacked for easy storage and transport.
