The iconic Panton chair, a design originating from northern Europe. Set of eight in black.

Designed by whom / launched when The eponymous 1960s cantilevered chair by Danish Architect Verner Panton. Made exclusively under license by Vitra Switzerland.

The Designers Inspiration Exploring possibilities for creative design using the latest new age material of the 1960s, fibreglass.

Fabrication The original fibreglass production was superseded in 1999 by this recyclable, less costly, lighter and highly durable polypropolene version.

Hidden Features Suitable for indoor or outdoor use, and Stackable in threes.

Design Consigned Stylist Anthropomorphic cantilevered comfort with a distinctly 1960s style. The one set of chairs you may only ever need. Use outdoors also, but do not keep these in the sun long term in order to extend their life.

Design Consigned Collector Authentic originals, made in Switzerland by Vitra. Very rare collector set in excellent condition.

Mark of authenticity Base embossed on view Verner Panton plus Vitra dated production labels.
