Synapsis table by Jean Marie Massaud for Porro
In 2005, famed french industrial and furniture designer Jean-Marie Massaud was invited to create a collection for the family owned Italian furniture company Porro (est 1925 Brianza). Synapsis Table was released at Salone del Milano in 2007 to much acclaim. Porro are known for their unified, essentialist, sleek and spirited designs.”We believe in a certain rigor, this is an essential character of the Porro products, which is also our approach to the production process” – Maria Porro 2019. Porro export over 75% of their production globally.
Designers Inspiration A slim oval is cropped at each end and with bevelled edges appears to rest lightly on two intricate supports.
Fabrication Two detachable supports of chrome plated welded steel rods. MDF board encased in high resistance white laminate.
Hidden Features Top can be easily removed for storage and access.
