Designed when: Originally designed in 1970 for the purpose of conversing, the Gabriela folding lounge chair by Italian Architect Gio Ponti is made today by Minotti under exclusive license using the original notes from the Gio Ponti archives.

Fabrication:Natural ash wood folding frame with multi-layered panel seat and backrest both covered with natural wicker.

Design Consigned Stylist: Famed Italian Architect Gio Ponti designed these folding chairs for summer holidays on Lake Como in the 1970s, so why not enjoy these chairs with a glass of prosecco beside picturesque Albert Park Lake or in the gardens of Melbourne’s historic Como House.

Hidden Details: The timber and wicker will darken over time giving the chairs a true vintage look.

DC Insider: Architect Vincent Van Duysen specified the ‘Gabriela’ chair for the interior of the new Aesop store in Hamburg.
