SOLD A kitchen bench height stool with lower back support and curved foot rail. Designed in 1935, the. K65 forms part of the L- Leg Collection of standardised component stools by early Finnish modernist architect, Alvar Aalto (1898-1976) who co-founded heritage brand Artek Finland.

Fabrication legs solid birchwood with natural lacqueur, seat of birchwood veneered, backrest of steam bent birchwood ply.

Design Consigned Stylist Popular since the 1930s, the K65 stool is sturdy, lightweight and has a distinctly modern Scandinavian aesthetic. The manufacture has remained unchanged because the natural materiality was perfectly resolved by the designer.

Provenance One owner 2023, unused in storage.
