Rudder table by Isamu Noguchi for Herman Miller

Authentic Rudder coffee table IN-52 with fin support designed in 1949 by Japanese American sculptor Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988). It has an amorphic shaped top much the same as isamu’s glass topped Noguchi table.

Inspiration Sculpture and furniture design were intertwined for Isamu, who was influenced by his father Yonejiro, a Japanese poet, and his mother Leonie, a writer of Irish descent.
