Rare Happy sofa by Antonio Citterio for Flexform Italy. Original vintage condition.

Designed / launched by whom/when The Happy Collection 2005 by architect Antonio Citterio (b1950 Meda) was designed and marketed as elegant casual seating to stand centrally within spaces. The detailing and features truly represent the Flexform brand aesthetic making this one of their most celebrated and collectible designs. The manufacture as you can see is highly labour intensive and so today only the chaise model is available.

Fabrication Chromed solid steel frame, multi ply wood base with slim polyurethane padding and heavy fabric piece covering, netting style hand woven corded cowhide leather backrest in col – Tobacco. Removable polished leather cushion covers with self piping. Sterilised Assopiuma® goose down inserts are sectioned for even fill distribution.

Hidden Features The 2 bolster cushions have concealed metal inserts to maintain their shape, and the seat cushions have a resilient foam inner core.

Our Condition Report 3/5 Frequent use. Fully complete. No structural damage, rust or marks to frame which still looks new and bright. The woven leather cord netting has no damage or fade. Cushion leathers still have their glossy polished look but are well faded with a few inoffensive marks but no sagging, holes or tears.
