Four element Felxform Groundpiece sofa and ottomanDesigned / released by whom / when: Designed in 2001, Groundpiece is a seating system by Italian Architect Antonio Citterio that adapts to the many needs of 21st Century life. Flexform was established in 1959 and remains a 100% family owned company today based north of Milan near Lake Como.
Inspiration: A new low profile sofa with heightened comfort courtesy of the XL goose down back cushions.
Fabrication: Steel frame, polyurethane padding, protective piece cover, Seat cushions self-plumping inner core surrounded with down fill. Back cushions down filled inners. Removable upholstery in favric Elvis (41% viscose / 23% acrylic / 22% cotton / 14% linen) Col 889. Tubular steel feet with epoxy laqueur.
Hidden Features: Elements are not connected and can be easily rearranged, their weight keeping them in place.
