Provenance: James Smeaton (b1964 Melbourne) completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Monash University). He was represented by William Mora Galleries and today, after time living abroad, by Scott Livesey Galleries. His early works were abstractions of aquatic and maritime features in Melbourne’s Docklands as observed by the artist.
