MInotti tan leather sofa by Rodolfo Dordoni

The ultimate leather sofa. A 3 seater Sherman sofa by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti Italy. Modernist in style sofa in exquisite Italian leather featuring superb comfort.

Designed / launched by whom/when Designed in 2012 by Rodolfo Dordoni and inspired by the architects trained eye for perfection and detail.

Fabrication ‘Lucido’ bright extruded solid aluminium base and feet, steel internal frame, plaited elastic strap webbing support, multiply wood back and armrest construction with high density thermo-sensitive polyurethane foam, padding in thermo bonded fibre with white cotton piece cover. High density foam seat cushions with channelled goose down surround. Box seam down mix scatter cushions (two leather and one fabric). Leather upholstery with piped seams in Pelle Aspen 03 – Col Terracotta

DC Stylist Possibly the finest tan leather sofa you will find. Sherman appears to float above the silver base. Then there’s the details, the micro perforations on the back of the scatter cushions that literally ‘breathe’ as you settle into the sofa. The idea that the centre seat is the least used inspired Dordoni to give Sherman ‘freeform’ back cushions that are deliberately not a matching set of three. (See marketing image). The leather  colour I would describe as tobacco.

Design Consigned Collector Authentic original, made in Italy 2012 by Minotti. The Sherman Collection is now discontinued making this sofa all the more covetable. Wears Minotti seam tag on base and includes all the original Minotti certificates with serial number and care products.

Provenance One owner verified 2013. Purchased from De De Ce Melbourne. Has been unused in storage.

Our Condition Report 4/5 Excellent condition with no detracting marks, fading, sagging or areas of wear. No structural faults.
