Arco Lamp by Castiglioni for Flos Lighting

The iconic original Arco floor lamp by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni made exclusively under licence by Flos Lighting Italy.
Created in 1962, the Arco floor lamp arches out up to two meters from its marble plinth.

Fabrication Carrara marble base. Spun aluminium shade with ivory painted interior. brushed stainless steel extending arm, 270cm black power cable with on / off foot switch. Original globe edition (non  LED)

Hidden Features Total Weight 70kg. The marble plinth has a hole through it to allow it to be lifted using a broom handle. Tilt the shade by hand to direct light where you need it.

Design Consigned Stylist Nobody tires of encountering this modern design masterpiece. Many have tried to copy this 20^th Century design, and all have failed dismally, as the Arco is so perfectly resolved it remains unaffected by the copyists, and unaltered for over 60 years, a true icon.. Arco arches out from behind a sofa or over a table like a warm and welcome guest.

Our Condition Report 3/5 Vintage (that’s over 10 years) Fully functioning with minimal use over the years in a commercial setting. Shade has a couple of light scratches. 1cm shaved edge chip to top centre back of marble base where the metal support slots in.
