Designed / launched by whom / when The Happy Collection 2005 by architect Antonio Citterio (b1950 Meda) was designed and marketed as ‘elegant casual seating to stand centrally within spaces’. Happy is one of Flexform’s most celebrated and collectible designs. The manufacture as you can see is highly labour intensive and so today only the chaise model is available.

Fabrication Chromed solid steel frame, multi ply wood base with slim polyurethane padding and heavy fabric piece covering, hand woven corded cowhide leather backrest in dark brown. Removable leather cushion covers with self piping in darkest brown. Sterilised Assopiuma® goose down inserts sectioned for even fill distribution.

Hidden Features The 2 bolster cushions have internal weights to maintain their shape and hold them in place, and the seat cushions have a resilient foam inner core.

Design Consigned Stylist Luxurious and comfortable leather sofa for smaller living spaces or the home library. Perfect on a cowhide at a modern country home. Preferably try to display the superb leather rope netting on the back.

Design Consigned Collector High collector value. Only the chaise is still made due to the costly metal and leather workmanship. Happy is part of the permanent collection at MOMA Centre Pompidou.

Our Condition Report Minimal use. No structural damage or sagging noted, no faults or fade to leather or marks to frame, which is still shiny and bright. The woven leather cord back has no damage or fade. Scatter cushions excellent.
