Designed / launched by whom/when Created in 1972 by in house Design team, Heinze Ulrich, Ueli Berger, Elanore Peduzzi-Riva and Klaus Vogt of de Sede, Swiss makers of sleek luxury Designer furniture since 1965.
Inspiration Flexible snaking modular seating of ‘vertibral’ construction.
Fabrication Timber core frame, foam and self-plumping cushioning, smooth leather upholstery in warm grey with co-ordinating suede sides. 16 seat modules completed with left and right armrest modules. The modules are joined via connecting bolts and zippers.
Design Consigned Stylist Arguably the coolest seating ever imagined. The leather is buttery smooth with sides and back in co-ordinating suede as the design was originally intended. Snake it, arc it, or split into 2, 3 or 4 generous lounging elements. Best centrally placed and viewable from all angles.
DC Collector Authentic refurbished DS-600, made in Switzerland by De Sede. Instantly recognisable and significant example of 20th Century Swiss Design. This sofa has been reupholstered in leather and suede.
