Lepanto floor lamp by Luciano Vistosi for Vistosi

Lepanto floor lamp designed in 1968 by Luciano Vistosi for Vistosi Venetian glass masters. In 1790 Gio -Batta Vistosi was appointed head of the glassmakers guild of Murano, and today the company is still run by his descendants.

The Designer Luciano Vistosi was raised on Murano, the island adjacent to Venice, where he observed first hand, traditional glass blowing techniques handed down through generations of glass makers at Vetreria Vistosi. Lepanto displays both, pulegoso (a glass finish), and also extreme stretching of the glass into a narrow tall fluted shape, a most difficult process that few glass makers can achieve.

Fabrication Hand blown white opaline Murano glass with a ‘pulegoso’ ( a flecked leopard effect) throughout. Satin nickel plated mid century style metal base.

Hidden Features 2 bulbs, one at the base of the ‘flute’. The floor switch offers options with a slider to dim the top light, and a button to switch on the base globe.

Design Consigned Collectors Authentic Vistosi lamp representative of the technical excellence of the Murano glassmaking tradition. Cannot be replicated. Vistosi glass rose to world prominence post WWII, producing modernist lighting designs by Ettore Sottsass and Angelo Mangiarotti.

2026 RRP $12,000 currently in the Mondoluce Melbourne store, noting Lepanto now has a single bright LED light source which runs the entire length of the glass. Our vintage Lepanto, the original edition, has a graduated soft dimmable light from 2 traditional globes top and bottom.

Our Condition Report 3/5 Very Good vintage (that’s > 10 years old), Some use noted. Fully functioning. No structural faults. No marks or chips to the glass, No missing parts. A few small marks to base, only visible on close inspection.
