Taccia lamp by Castiglioni for Flos Lighting


The spectacular and intriguing Taccia lamp was designed in 1962 by brothers Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and is produced by Flos Lighting Italy. The lamp comes in two sizes and finishes, this being the large with the more popular silver base.

Design Inspirations: A torch light, Aeronautical design, the lunar cycle,

Fabrication: Extruded aluminium base with sandblasted finish, spun-aluminium reflector, hand blown Murano glass diffuser,

Hidden Features: 4 dimming levels. Adjust the light direction by manually shifting the position of the resting diffuser.

Design Consigned Stylist: A globally recognised 20th Century Design icon by Italy’s multi award winning Castiglioni brothers. A warm diffuse light source that performs much like a beautiful sculpture within the home.

Design Consigned Collector: Authentic original Taccia lamp XL, made exclusively in Italy by Flos. Very good condition, fully functioning with a couple of faint scratches to diffusion bowl unlikely to be noticed.
