Designed in California during the 1950s, this chair by Charles and Ray Eames has a variety of base options enabling it to be mass produced efficiently while also offering different looks. Eames designs are produced in Europe under an exclusive licence to Vitra Switzerland.

The Designers Inspiration This design was a response to a perceived need at the time for a simple, modern, lightweight armchair of gracious form, able to adapt to many situations. And it continues to live up to these original design tenets, seen in residential and commercial projects worldwide.

Fabrication Dyed through polypropylene seat shell, welded trivalent chrome steel wire ‘eiffel’ base. Rubber non scratch glides.
