Designed / made by whom/when: Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina created the iconic Tolomeo lamp in 1986 for Italian lightmakers, Artemide.

Inspiration: Cantilevered arm and spring balancing.

Fabrication: Spun aluminum shade, chromed arms, steel tension wire, control knobs in polished die cast aluminium, chromed steel base.

Design Consigned Stylist: The Architects lamp, as it quickly became known due to its’ high tech and painstakingly resolved design and precision adjustability, is now the ideal reading lamp around the home as well, from home office, to bedside to sofa side.
