Designed in 2006, Alcove sits perfectly within Vitra’s design philosophy, which could be described as practical, Swiss modern, minimalism. Alcove comes in two heights, this one, or the extra high, and two widths. There is also an armchair.

The Designer’s Inspiration Places of physical shelter and acoustic seclusion.

Fabrication Steel base seat platform. Bright chromed continuous tubular steel legs, side and back support, MDF side and back panels covered with padding and horizontal quilt upholstery, 2 visible silver zippers connect the sides to the backrest.

Hidden Feature Comes with extras: 3 large back cushions, 2 side armrest cushions, plus 2 small lumbar supports.

Design Consigned Stylist Contemporary French sofa by the world famous Bouroullec Design Studio. The padded panels provide an accoustic refuge from surrounding noise. Two people can share this longer sofa facing each other backs to the side panels. This 2.4 meter long sofa will seat three comfortably because there is actually 2.4 meters of seating area.
