Designed / launched by whom/when The eponymous 1960s cantilevered chair by Danish Architect Verner Panton, made exclusively by Vitra Switzerland.

Inspiration The possibilities of creative design using the latest new age material, fantastic plastic.

Fabrication Injection moulded polypropylene

Design Consigned Stylist Anthropomorphic, cantilevered comfort with a distinct 60s modern style. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Design Consigned Collector Authentic originals, made in Switzerland by Vitra. These are the newer more lightweight and durable matt polypropolene version introduced in 1999 vs the original rigid fibreglass gloss version which are more costly and environmentally harmful to produce.

Mark of authenticity Verner Panton embossed signature visible on top of the base. Vitra brand embossing and stickers under seats.

Provenance One owner, excellent, minor scratches to one side edge of one chair.
