White Sofa by Claudio Salocchi
Designed by: Award winning Architect (1979 Award Compass d’Oro), Interior Designer and Industrial Designer Claudio Salocchi was invited in 1980, by Rossi di Albizzate, to design a customisable seating system using the company’s background in saddlery to advance the design.
Fabrication: With attention to detail, the back support is comprised of a series of stratified bent plywood sections covered in hand stitched saddlery leather. The cushions have a self-plumping foam core with the comfort of a sterilized goose feather surround. The removable covers are high quality self piped thick Italian leather in ‘chalk’ white.
DesignConsigned Stylist: Designed for conversation, perhaps in a modern Loggia, centre stage in a coastal home or city penthouse. Style on a circular rug with round coffee table or leather ottoman. See below.
DC Collector: Producing furniture since 1935, upon their 80 year anniversary in 2015, Rossi di Albizzate ceased production and converted their factory into a design museum. The Rossi brothers were co-founders of Milan’s Salone del Mobile / Milan Furniture Fair in 1961.
DC Insider: Purchased directly by the owner in 1982 for over $30,000, this white sofa by Claudio Salocchi has spent most of it’s life in a corporate headquarters in Melbourne, which explains the excellent condition with no faults to the leather. Now Reduced 25% Request a video: email@example.com
