White Sofa by Claudio Salocchi
Designed by:Award winning Architect ( 1979 “Compass d’Oro” ), Interior Designer and Industrial Designer Claudio Salocchi was invited in 1980 by Rossi di Albizzate to design a customisable seating system taking advantage of the company’s background in saddlery to advance the design.
Fabrication:With attention to detail, the back support is comprised of a series of stratified bent plywood sections covered in hand stitched saddlery leather. The cushions have a self-plumping foam core with the comfort of a sterilized goose feather surround. The removable covers are high quality self piped Italian leather in ‘chalk’ white.
DesignConsigned Stylist:Designed for conversation and seating up to 6 in a modern Loggia, centre stage in a coastal home or city penthouse. Style on a circular rug with round coffee table or leather ottoman. See below.
DC Collector:Producing since 1935, upon their 80 year anniversary in 2015, Rossi di Albizzate ceased production and converted their factory into a design museum. The Rossi brothers were co-founders of Milan’s Salone del Mobile / Milan Furniture Fair in 1961.
DC Insider:Purchased in 1982 for over $30,000, this white sofa by Claudio Salocchi was imported directly for a corporate headquarters in Melbourne. In very good condition with no faults to the leather. Request a video email@example.com
