Prince chair by Louise Campbell for HAY
Louise Campbell’s Prince chair was the result of a 2001 competition to create a Design to honour of HRH Crown prince Frederik of Denmark.
The Designeer Louise Campbell (b1970 Copenhagen), is a 1992 graduate of both, the London College of Furniture, and Industrial Design at Denmark Design School (1995). Her clients include Hay, Louis Poulsen, Zanotta, Muuto, Georg Jensen, Holmegaard and Baccarat. Today she is a highly regarded Design advocate and board member of the Academy of Danish Fine Arts.
The Designer’s Inspiration Archival museum paper cutouts by Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen.
Fabrication Laser cut steel, matt powder coat finish, water cut neoprene rubber surround, laser cut felt upholstery, black powder coat solid tubular steel frame.

Design Consigned Collector Highly collectible design made in Copenhagen by HAY (Est 2002). The Prince chair plus other works by Louise Campbell’s works are held in the permanent collections at MOMA NYC, Centre Pompidou Paris, Montreal Design Museum, Habitare Helsinki, Dallas Museum, A lifetime Design grant from the Copenhagen Museum was awarded to Louise in 2015.
