Glass Meltdown table lamp designed in 2013 by Johan Lindsten for Cappellini. Part of the Meltdown Collection (pendants, table and floor lamps). The glass orbs are offered in six colours: amber, tobacco, rose pink, amethyst, blue and grey, designed to be custom ordered allowing for individual expression.

Designers Inspiration Tinted pate de verre glass is mouth-blown into a mould to create the glass bowl diffusers.

Design Consigned Collector Johan Lindsten studied industrial design at Vaxjo University Sweden, and established his Stockholm Studio in 2008. Cappellini is a brand synonymous with avant-garde design, since 1946.

DC Insider Johan Lindsten grew up close to factories like Orrefors and Kosta Boda. It was a place where glass design was experimental and rustic and antiqued effects were celebrated over mass produced sameness..
