Knoll Desk 1970
Rare Knoll 1970’s executive desk with polished chrome inlay strips designed by Richard Schultz.
Fabrication:No veneers here. This solid timber man-sized desk is designed to be placed away from the wall to show the magnificent timber grain on the front face. Made under licence by William Latchford & Sons Sydney.
Condition:Has been well used, as expected, but exterior in good condition and ready for more business. Has had a cable hole added in the top. A small ‘mouse’ area on the desktop needs a re-polish which can be arranged. [see image]
Design Consigned Collectors:Florence and Hans Knoll’s highly collectable furniture is synonymous with post-war modernism and the birth of ‘corporate’ design. Their pieces are instantly recognizable and built to last. Designs are influenced by the Bauhaus movement and this one is by German designer Richard Schultz. Wears Latchford for Knoll brand sticker as per the licensing agreement at that time.
