Kimberley River 1 (circa 2002) by Melbourne Artist Graham Fransella. Fransella began painting in the 1970s after being awarded a scholarship. He also taught art and became a print technician. His first exhibition was in London in 1989. In the 1990s he travelled throughout outback Australia and was inspired by indigenous culture and art. He later specialised in watercolour and was awarded the AGNSW Watercolour Prize several times.
