The iconic Flap sofa designed in 1999 by Francesco Binfaré for Edra. A rare limited edition collector edition ostriche cover. A late 20th Century design by Milanese design activist and director of the Cassina research centre. Born 1939 Francesco Binfaré collaborated with Edra from 1992, and in many ways the Flap sofa defines the edra brand aesthetic.

Fabrication Two part chrome plated square profile hollow steel base frame. 5 independent lift and lower sections with 6 adjustment heights on each. Removable and re order able zip off cover of textural ostriche design, of colour ivory (not bright white) . cover backed with stretch technical fabric. Black rubber ferrules.

Our Condition Report 3/5 (that’s vintage over 10 years) Frame 4/5 Very good fully functions with no faults, dulling, or rust. Structure 4/5 remains good with no sag to seat sections or backrests. Cover 3/5   2 x (1cm) tears at two fold corners (as shown)  not worsening in the last 7 years says current owner.
