Designed / launched by whom/when:The rocket stool was designed by Eero Aarnio for his own kitchen. This, it’s baby sister, followed soon after. Based in Helsinki, Artek are known for their clean-lined Nordic designs with an emphasis on durability.

Inspiration:Scandinavian style scullery stool with a playful ‘puffy’ shape.

Fabrication:Solid oak with a traditional matt white ‘soaped’ finish highlighting the wood grain. Enjoy the video !  Traditional Soap Finish.

DC Insider:British Designer Tom Dixon visited Aarnio and noticed the stool in his kitchen and commented that it should be part of the Artek Collection. And so it was.

Design Consigned Stylist:Very sturdy little side table / stool with a cheery ‘personality’. Handy to have around the place. Ageing gracefully, the older it gets, the better it will become. One worn patch as shown.
