SOLD  Camaleonda sofa designed in 1970 by Italian architect Mario Bellini for B&BItalia (originally founded as C&BItalia in 1966 by Piero Ambrogio Busnelli).

The Designers Inspiration The traditional capitonne (buttoned) technique of upholstery reinterpreted with hooks, ties and rings offering a totally unique and unmistakably new look sympathetic to the 1970s aesthetic.

Fabrication Internal B&B patented cold-form rebound polyurethane foam surround a steel tubular frame. Plywood base in black with black thermoplastic domed feet. Removable tie on covers in B&B Italia Astro Col ; Anthracite (charcoal / black)

Design Consigned Stylist Arguably the most iconic 20th Century sofa. Here we offer five varied elements so you can create endless seating scenarios. The charcoal fabric is thick and has a soft velour feel which many may prefer over leather covers and is easier to remove and have professionally cleaned.

Mark of Authenticity Wears B&B code stickers to all bases, and B&B seam tags.

Provenance Two owners. Imported to Australia from Germany in 2022.
