Design Consigned acts as an agent for the sole purpose of marketing and selling your design objects on your behalf. You retain legal ownership until the object is sold and the buyer has accepted the item.

You can consign a wide range of design items, from art, design objects, or furniture, to custom architectural fixtures and fittings. As long as it’s authentic design, it will be considered. No replica fake copies please !

Design Consigned does not represent restored, reupholstered, reproduction, or antique furniture.

Our onlline collection includes the most wanted designs, whether they be icons from the past, or todays award winners.

Absolutely! Objects with good design DNA that have ‘lived’ are priced accordingly. We condition rate all items from 1-5.

Design Consigned is all about making authentic design available to everyone. 

Wait a few days for your submission to be reviewed. If accepted, we will be in touch via email. You may want us to collect your object immediately or we may need to re-photograph it for better results.

Design Consigned handles the logistics from there.

There is no fixed consignment term. A sale will depend on current market demand and interest for the particular object. Over time and based on enquiries the selling price may need to be adjusted. Consider Design Consigned like a dating site for your object, sometimes it can take time to find the right “match”. By accepting our Ts & Cs you give Design Consigned exclusive listing rights. You can request a listing be removed at any time. Our images are copyright.

Once your object is purchased from the Design Consigned online store we will need to collect it from you (unless we have already done so). Objects are inspected to make sure they are still as described.  We then arrange for items to be shipped by the most appropriate means to the buyer. Seller proceeds and updated statement will be forwarded to the consignor [seller] at end of month. Buyer and seller identities remain undisclosed at all times.

Our Consignors [sellers] have the option to indicate a reserve $ amount they would like to receive. Design Consigned then researches recent sales along with local and international market pricing and demand before setting a realistic selling price.

Design Consigned does not have a showroom. We make it our responsibility to inspect and value every object in person to ensure the listing is 100% accurate. Important information from the manufacturer, such as dimensions and fabrication, will be included. We will also review provenance ie relevant information provided by the Consignor [seller]. We offer a 3 day cooling off period if, upon receipt, you wish to dispute the condition or description. A full refund will be provided upon return in same condition, in same packaging via same method.

All objects listed on Design Consigned are privately owned one off pieces therefore to be fair to all our Consignees [buyers] we are unable to hold items. Once paid we can continue to store items for you.

Delivery lead times will depend on the shipping and handling required for that particular object and the destination. Urgent deliveries can be arranged with an additional charge.
