How we work

“Objects need love” is our philosophy

Move on those Design objects that no longer fit your needs, or that you are simply ‘over’ via our user friendly consignment service where we take care of everything so you can get on with more important things. Simply click our CONSIGN button to begin

We love good design as much as you do

We notice how good design looks, how it is made, and how it functions. We uphold the integrity of the designer, the consignor [seller] and the consignee [buyer]. Design Consigned represents only the best designs, brands and authentic objects. Our aim is to make good design more affordable by offering a curation of pre-owned design objects consigned from some of Australia’s most prestigious homes and commercial spaces.

Protect the Environment

We invite design professionals and their clients to consider the environment and re think their philosophical approach by specifying some ‘non-new’ design pieces in their residential or commercial projects.

Meet Design Consigned founder Mel de Campo

A Bachelor of Commerce graduate from Melbourne University, Melbourne born Mel pursued a career as National Buyer for Myer Department Stores, which gave her both local and international buying experience. Later, a family interest in property development saw her involved in projects including the conversion to apartments of the Heritage listed ‘Biltmore’ in Albert Park. More recently Mel completed an Interior design course at RMIT University to formalise her design skills.

A desire to make authentic design more affordable plus a desire to provide a sustainable option for architects and interior designers were motives behind the 2016 start of DesignConsigned.com.au
