SOLD Almora lounge chair and footrest designed in 2014 by UK based Industrial Design studio Doshi Levien, known for their exacting and modernist inspired designs. Nipa Doshi grew up in Mumbai with a passion for modernist mid century design while Jonathan Levien is an industrial designer whose father was a Scottish fine furniture craftsman. B&BItalia invited the duo to create a modern lounge chair using their latest technologies. The designers have recently been awarded the Order of The British Empire.

Design Consigned Stylist A wingback chair for the 21st Century. The ergonomics are perfect and the dense inner cushioning provide firm lumbar support. The cone like silhouette of Almora is exciting to view from the back. The smooth leather is fitted to the form and won’t crease. The footrest has a different base which gives the Almora chair its own identity.
