Designed / launched by whom/when: Designed in 1972 by Tecno (Est1953) who’s c0-founder Osvaldo Borsani learnt his skills from his father Gaetano Borsani, an artisan furniture maker from Brianza. Set of six assorted.
Inspiration: Post WW11 Italian industrial modernism.
Fabrication: High gloss polished polyamide shell, die cast aluminium base.

Design Consigned Collector: Authentic originals, made in Milan by Tecno. No longer distributed in Australia. These have been in storage and are almost like new. One of 3 designs chosen for The 2011 Milan Triennial Exhibition curated by Architect Pierluigi Cerri “The discrete elegance of technology”. A Collectors assortment of six modus chairs.
Stamp or Mark of authenticity: Embossed tecno logo on back of seat shell.
DC Insider: Villa Borsani c1945, Osvaldo’s Family home, adjacent to the original Tecno factory, north of Milan, was opened for the first time as an historic design museum for the Milan Fair 2018.
