Luke leather bench
Original 1998 black leather modernist daybed, ottoman, bench or seat. Now reduced
Designed by whom/when: Bill Luke began making furniture in Albert Street, Richmond in the early 1990s. It was a bit of a trade secret at that time. A place where architects could order Herman Miller pieces from the US or commission custom Mid Century style design pieces for their projects.
Fabrication: Chromed steel square profile frame with black leather upholstered seat and cylindrical piped leather bolster. In excellent condition.
Design Consigned Stylist: Place in a hallway, in front of a full height window, at the foot of a bed, in a dressing room or under an artwork. So many possibilities for this modernist design.
Design Consigned Collector: Original 90’s Luke Furniture design. Made in Melbourne.
