Louis Kalff Z lamp
The Z lamp by architect Louis Christiaan Kalff is one of eight designs from the collection he designed in the 1950s whilst art director of Dutch company Philips Lighting.
A polished brass Z base with ebonised timber insert topped with a matt black painted aluminium shade.
Condition: Base in perfect order. Shade has a slight dent, however this does not detract from the charm of this original and rare vintage item.
DC Stylist:This small lamp casts a warm glow down onto its brass base. We particularly like it on this table
Design Consigned Collector: Rare limited edition, we believe the only one for sale in Australia.
DC Insider: Kalff was responsible for making Philips the world leader in lighting. He passed away in 1976. The Louis Kalff Industrial Design Museum was later established in Eindhoven Netherlands. Reduced
