Rare Collectible Haikus large ceramic decorative centrepiece by Dutch Designer Marcel Wanders.

Designed by whom/when: B&BItalia commissioned Dutch Designer Marcel Wanders to create a commemative Design for their 2007 Milan Fair Exhibit & Store opening on Via Durini.

Inspriation: Haiku, a short Japanese poem of a few lines.

Fabrication: Handmade ceramic porcelain, hand applied polychrome printed naïve motifs.

Hidden Features: A complex moulding technique was created in order to produce these oversized limited edition ceramics.

DC Stylist: Extraordinary contemporary Design centerpiece for larger coffee / dining tables.

Design Consigned Collector: Rare original decorative bowl, designed by Marcel Wanders in 2007. There were 4 designs created in two sizes, this being the larger, at D75cm diameter. Each design is an expression of Marcels creative imagination, always a clever mix of the unexpected !
Exhibited as part of the Marcel Wanders retrospective at Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art & Design, Amsterdam, 2014.
