De Sede DS-600 non stop sofa
Your chance to own the ‘non-stop’ sofa, a striking piece of 1970s Design. This DS-600 sectional sofa comprises 18 modules.
Designed / launched by whom/when: Created in 1972 by in house Design trio Heinze Ulrich, Ueli Beregere, Elenora Peduzzi-Riva and Klaus Vogt of de Sede, Swiss makers of sleek luxury Designer furniture since 1965.
Inspiration: Flexible snaking modular seating of ‘vertibral’ construction.
Fabrication: Timber core frame, foam and self-plumping cushioning, smooth buttery leather upholstery in warm grey with co-ordinating suede sides. 16 seat modules completed with left and right armrest modules. The modules connect via rotating bolts and zippers.
Design Consigned Stylist: Arguably the coolest seating ever imagined. The leather is buttery smooth with a plush feel and the sides are in the traditional co-ordinating suede. Snake it, arc it, or split into 2 or 3 elements or 4 generous lounge chairs.
