De Sede DS-600 non stop sofa
Your chance to own the ‘non-stop’ sofa, a striking piece of 1970s Design. This DS-600 sectional sofa comprises 18 modules.
Designed / launched by whom/when: Created in 1972 by in house Design trio Heinze Ulrich, Ueli Beregere, Elenora Peduzzi-Riva and Klaus Vogt of de Sede, Swiss makers of sleek luxury Designer furniture since 1965.
Inspiration: Flexible snaking modular seating of ‘vertibral’ construction.
Fabrication: Timber core frame, down mix self-plumping comfort, smooth buttery leather upholstery in warm grey with co-ordinating suede sides. 16 seat modules completed with left and right armrest modules. The modules connect via swivelling bolts and zippers.
Design Consigned Stylist: Arguably the coolest seating ever imagined. The leather is buttery smooth with a plush feel and the sides are in the traditional co-ordinating suede. Snake it, arc it, or split into a group of four generous lounge chairs.
DC Collector: Authentic DS-600, made in Switzerland by De Sede. Instantly recognisable and significant example of 20thCentury Swiss Design. One hole to leather which can be repaired upon request otherwise no detracting signs of wear.
