Designed / launched by whom/when: Created in 1972 by in house Design trio Heinze Ulrich, Ueli Beregere, Elenora Peduzzi-Riva and Klaus Vogt of de Sede, makers of sleek luxury Swiss Designer furniture since 1965.
Inspiration: Flexible snaking modular seating of ‘vertibral’ construction.
Fabrication: Timber core frame, down mix fill, smooth buttery leather upholstery in warm grey with co-ordinating suede sides. 16 seat modules plus left and right armrest modules. The modules connect via swivelling bolts plus upholstery zips.
Design Consigned Stylist: Arguably the coolest seating ever imagined. The leather is buttery smooth with a plush seat and the sides are in the traditional co-ordinating suede. Snake it, arc it, or split it into a group of seats.
DC Collector: Authentic DS-600, made in Switzerland by De Sede. Instantly recognisable and significant 20thCentury Swiss Design. One hole to leather which can be repaired upon request.
