Vincenzo de Cotiis

De Cotiis studied at the elite engineering and design school, the Milan Politecnico, where his work impressed the then Chairman of Flos Lighting Sergio Gandini who insisted de Cotiis establish his own studio. Today, at 58, he is globally revered for his ‘monastery-meets-laboratory’ approach to design and unique understanding of pure form and raw materials. Included in the Architectural Digest top 100 creative Designers 2019.

A fan of perfect imperfection, for de Cotiis, touch is as important as sight and the sensuous curves of this sofa were designed to be both a visual and tactile experience.
