Designed by whom/when: Designed in 2009 by Italian Architect & Designer Paola Navone, a member of the 70s Alchemia, a group of Milanese Architects who made a point of disregarding furniture design conventions.
Inspiration: A non conformist reinterpretation of the classic British chesterfield
Fabrication: Fir plywood frames, Sprung support w elasticised rubber strapping. Various density polyurethane foam padding. Acrylic fibre covering. Plume Category A Leather upholstery with capitonne tufting. Col: Blanc
DC Stylist: Rounded white sofas are on many Interior Designers’ radar right now. Tap into, and beyond, the trend with this ‘chubby’ iteration of a traditional classic. The ottoman can be a stand alone piece or topped with a large tray doubles as footrest and coffee table.
DC Collector: Authentic originals, made in Italy by Baxter. White being the collectible colour of the Chester Moon, for obvious reasons.
Mark of authenticity: A 4cm Baxter brand embossed logo.
Provenance: One owner, 3 years old, minimal use in a bridal boutique. Invoice provided.
