Taliesin Lamp by Frank Lloyd Wright

Description

Authentic and rare Taliesin floor lamp designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, produced by Yamagiwa Japan under licence since 1985 from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.

‘Taliesin’ is the name of Frank Lloyd Wrights desert home in Arizona, now home to his Architecture School and Foundation. The lamp was designed in 1923 for the bedside tables inspired by a ‘sheltering pagoda’ . He loved the lamps so much he created this floor version in 1955. Made from Japanese cherrywood with solid brass fittings and a Japanese shoji paper shade.

DC Stylist:Great in modernist homes with exposed brick and beamed ceilings. Enjoy this magazine shoot at Taliesin courtesy Town&Country mag.

DC Collector:The lamp wears the official Yamagiwa plaque with a unique serial number.

DC Insider:One owner. Purchased 12 years ago from Euroluce Melbourne.
