Minotti – Huber side table

This bellissimo Minotti Huber side table by Rodolfo Dordoni is part of a collection of round and square coffee and side tables with polished chrome frames and various tops.  

Minotti makes 100% of it’s products in Meda, just north of Milan. The company owner Renato Minotti focuses on developing the artisan skills of his ‘family’ of employees. His father Alberto started the company in 1948 and his mother still works there, as does his brother. Quality comes first.

Designed when, by whom:Architect Rodolfo Dordoni has collaborated with Minotti since 1997 to create a series of exclusive collections including Huber in 2004.

Fabrication:20mm Etruscan Onyx and bronze tempered glass in an oval tubular chrome plated metal frame. 7 years old, condition very good. No detracting faults bar a very faint 5cm colourless mark only visible from a certain angle.

Design Consigned Stylist:Relatively high so best with an armed sofa or between two armchairs. Generous size allows for books, a lamp, vase plus favourite design objects.

DC Collector:The Huber ‘Tavolini’ epitomize timeless Milanese luxury. “classic today, classic tomorrow” Renato Minotti ensures his products are so beautifully made they cannot be copied. The Huber Collezione is still in production.
