The Cappellini hi pad stool by Jasper Morrison features a concave ‘ovangle’ shaped top with a center padded section and stitch detailing all coming together to equal design excellence.
Designed / launched by whom/when:Jasper Morrison is a London born designer and graduate of the Royal College of Art who has created for Alessi and Sony. As part of an ongoing and successful collaboration between his studio and Italian manufacturer Cappellini the hi pad stool was released in 1999 and has remained a firm favourite due to its elegant design and inbuilt comfort.
Inspiration:Minimal elegance expressed through functionality.
Fabrication:Birch ply seat with multi-density polyurethane foam upholstered in CAT.G-pelle/leather col 908 black. A ‘satinated’ stainless steel tubular ‘sled’ style base with 4 floor stopper / protectors.
Hidden features:Lightweight yet stable
Design Consigned Stylist:A good looking designer ‘perch’ for the family chef, studio ‘kitchenette’, or computer station. This is the medium bench, [not bar] height version. Pricey, but of high quality, for every day use.
Design Consigned Collector:Black leather is a timeless option that will age well and hold its value. Cappellini boxed.
