This is high impact Italian glamour at its best-paying homage to the refined proportions of Brunelleschi’s Florence Cathedral Dome. ‘Bell’ is a collection of lights designed by Venetian architect Manuel Vivian for the dynamic Axo Lighting Company and this suspension pendant is recognised as the key piece of the collection.

The Diameter is 118cm, so it is big.

>Fabrication:>‘Ponge’, a low momme flat weave silk, is wrapped and stitched onto a metal frame. ‘Momme weight’ is used to distinguish various grades of silk much like the familiar thread count we use to grade cottons. Silk, being incredibly fine with a very high thread count has to be graded by weight.
