Olin table by Norman & Quaine
Olin, a modernist table by Sydney designers Norman & Quaine. Seats 8 or 12.
Fabrication: Linished stainless steel frame with floating solid polished cherrywood top.
Interior designer Katherine Norman and Industrial designer Caroline Quaine established their Sydney design studio in 1993 and were appointed to design the furniture and joinery for the new Parliament House in Canberra. They are known for their distinctly ‘modernist Australian’ designs.
This Olin table was custom ordered in 1999 from N&Q. This table has been well cared for. There are no detracting marks.
DC Stylist: An Australian made family dining table for ‘modernistas’. Add Eames chairs to complete the look. This square space solution is also good as a meeting table. A solid cherrywood top is not often seen.
DC Collector: Living Edge represented Norman & Quaine. Olin can be seen in their Sydney showroom [see image] Wears original serial number NQ4453/M
Design Consigned Insider: Vogue Living editor-in-chief Neale Whitaker has 2 Mali chairs by Norman & Quaine.
