knoll Brno chairs in tan leather

Six Brno chairs from Knoll

A rare set of six Ludwig Mies van der Rohe classic Brno chairs from Knoll, in original tan leather.

Designed when / by: The Brno tubular chair slim seat version is the original 1929 design created for the dining room by legendary architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the Tugendhat House (1930) in Brno, Czechoslovakia.

Inspiration: Clean lines designed specifically to compliment the ground breaking architecture and rounded chromed columns of the Tugendhat House.

Fabrication: mirror chrome plated 11 guage steel tubular frame and knoll ‘volo’ leather upholstery in tan. *mirror chroming involves multiple nickel and silicone coatings for rust prevention and durability, and these frames still look new and will do so for years to come.

The tan leather is on point for today’s contemporary interiors and goes perfectly with timber tables and floors.
